CDF panels are a line of boards that are harder than HDF core with a black core (black HDF) in English called Compact Density Fiberboard.
- CDF details: wood fiber powder (from tree trunks with bark and cuticles) ground into micro-fines and dried at a humidity below 5%, compressed under high pressure, specific gravity over 860kg/m2. That is to increase solidity, load-bearing and elasticity.
- The black core is because at a humidity below 5%, the wood fiber has completely dried and is in a solid state like charcoal (carbon), so it is black but still retains the friendly properties of natural wood. CDF is half wood and charcoal: the wood is solid and flexible and the charcoal body does not expand or warp due to water or humidity.
